Enrique Alcatena (Buenos Aires, 1957) es un historietista e ilustrador argentino conocido principalmente por su imaginería fantástica y surrealista, inspirada fuertemente por la mitología y los relatos folklóricos. Ha trabajado para el mercado historietístico de su país, como así también para el europeo y norteamericano.
Desde pequeño, Enrique se interesó por la historieta. Dibujante autodidacta, entre sus influencias se cuentan a: Carmine Infantino, Gil Kane, Jack Kirby, Lucho Olivera y Barry Windsor Smith, entre otros.
Comenzó su carrera profesional en Ediciones Récord, como ayudante de Chiche Medrano, tarea que desempeñó entre 1975 y 1978. Es en la mítica revista Pif Paf, de la misma editorial, donde finalmente publica su primer trabajo, Bushido, en 1976.
Antes de empezar a colaborar con la revista Anteojito, en 1982, había estado trabajando de manera independiente para Inglaterra. Allí publicaba series semanales, principalmente de temática histórica en revistas de la editorial Thompson y hasta principios de los años 1990, fue colaborador de la línea Starblazer, que consistía en libros de ciencia ficción y fantástica.
En la revista Anteojito trabajó hasta 1987, año en el cual volvió a colaborar con Récord. Con guion de Ricardo Barreiro, hizo los dibujos de La fortaleza móvil. Junto al mismo guionista también realizó El mago y Mundo subterráneo. Tiempo más tarde, Alfredo Scutti, editor de la revista Skorpio le presentaría al guionista Eduardo Mazzitelli, con quien iniciaría una de las duplas más prolíficas y celebradas de la historieta argentina, colaboración que continúa al día de hoy.
A finales de los 80, comienza a trabajar para la editorial norteamericana Marvel, primero como entintador de la serie Hawkworld y más tarde como dibujante de Conan el Bárbaro.
Durante la década de los 90, Alcatena dibujó a los personajes más importantes de DC y Marvel, destacándose los 4 Fantásticos, Batman, Flash (en un número donde visitaba Argentina) entre muchos otros.
Sus obras más notables: Acero líquido, Barlovento, El libro secreto de Marco Polo, Hexmoor, Imperator, La fortaleza móvil, Travesía por el laberinto, Shankar, Pesadillas.

Eduardo Mazzitelli (November 4, 1952, Lomas de Zamora, Province of Buenos Aires) is an Argentinian comic scriptwriter with a great career not only in his own country but also abroad.
Mazzitelli is the author, together with Enrique Alcatena, of rioplatense classic comics such as Travesía por el laberinto, Metallum Terra, Shankar, Acero líquido and Pesadillas. He has also worked together with Argentinian cartoonists such as Lucho Olivera and Rubén Meriggi.
His unique style makes him one of the leaders of Argentinian comic scriptwriters

Enrique Alcatena (Buenos Aires, 1957) is an Argentinian comic book writer and illustrator mainly known for his fantastic and surrealist imagery, strongly inspired by mythology and folk tales. He has worked for the comic book market of his country as well as the European and Northamerican ones.
Since he was young, Enrique showed an interest in comic books. A self-taught illustrator, among his influences are: Carmine Infantino, Gil Kane, Jack Kirby, Lucho Olivera and Barry Windsor Smith.
he began his professional career in Ediciones Récord as Chiche Medrano's helper, from 1975 to 1978. In the mythical Pif Paf magazine from the same publishers he finally published his first work, Bushido, in 1976.
Before starting to collaborate with Anteojito magazine, in 1982, he had been working independently for England. There, he published weekly series, mainly with an historical theme, in magazines from Thomson publishers and until the beginnings of the nineties he collaborated with the Starblazer line, which consisted of science-fiction and fantasy books.
We worked until 1987 in Anteojito magazine, when he went back to collaborating with Récord. With Ricardo Barreiro's script, he made the illustrations for ""La fortaleza móvil"". Together with the same writer he made ""El mago"" and ""Mundo subterráneo"". Later, Alfredo Scutti, editor of Skorpio magazine, introduced him to scriptwriter Eduardo Mazzitelli with whom he would start one of the most prolific and celebrated couples of the history of Argentina, and they continue to work together to this day.
In the late eighties, he started to work for American publisher Marvel, first in the Hawkworld series and later as an illustrator of Conan, the Barbarian.
During the nineties, Alcatena drew the most important characters of DC and Marvel, among which are the Fantastic Four, Batman, the Flash (in an issue where he visited Argentina).
His most notable works are: Acero líquido, Barlovento, El libro secreto de Marco Polo, Hexmoor, Imperator, La fortaleza móvil, Travesía por el laberinto, Shankar, Pesadillas.
